Hewlett-Packard announced a number of consumer and business printers, multi-function printers, and a scanner, the highlight of which was a printer controlled by a removable, 7-inch tablet that doubles as an e-reader.
The HP Photosmart eStation All-in-One combines an HP e-All-in-One with a detachable, 7-inch, full-color, touch-screen tablet. The wireless Android 2.1-driven device controls the MFP and lets users access Web content, including one-touch access to Yahoo services. It also acts as an e-reader with access to Barnes & Noble's eBookstore.
The HP Photosmart eStation is currently available for $399 (Currently not available in Indonesia)
Among the other devices introduced Monday was the HP Envy 100 e-All-in-One, which will allow you to fax without the need of a phone line. It's is a sleek and stylish MFP that features a high-resolution touch-screen display, quiet operation, and a retractable paper tray. According to HP, the Energy Star-qualified Envy 100 is the planet's first PVC-free printer.
The HP LaserJet Pro CM1415fnw Color MFP, meanwhile, is the first HP LaserJet business printer that prints from the Web and mobile devices. It offers a 3.5-inch color touch-screen control panel that allows users to print, scan, copy, and fax.
The HP LaserJet Pro CP1525nw Color Printer is the single-function version of the CM1415fnw, and it will be available in November, also introduced was the HP LaserJet Pro CP1025nw Color Printer - a compact, energy-efficient color laser printer that will also be available in November.
The company also introduced the HP Officejet Pro 8500A e-All-in-One, an energy-efficient MFP with a low-claimed cost per page, and the HP Officejet 7500A Wide Format e-All-in-One, which can print on a variety of paper types and sizes.
The 7500A also includes integrated wired and wireless networking for sharing with multiple PCs and includes a 2.36-inch color touch-screen display.
The HP Officejet 6500A e-All-in-One series lets users print color documents, plus fax, copy, and scan. According to HP, the 6500A, which includes a 2.36-inch color touch-screen display, uses 40 percent less energy than comparable laser printers.
HP also announced the HP Scanjet Pro 3000 sheet-feed scanner, which will be available in November for , but had few other details to share.
